    1.0 SCOPE

    States the purpose:

    • For mechanical, lubrication, inspection, service, and proof loading of the Vac-U-Lift vacuum lifter.

    • Includes a blank space for customizable lifting capacity in pounds.


     2.0 SPECIAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

    • None required.

    • Designed to be completed using standard shop tools and materials.


     3.0 INSTRUCTIONS

    Organized by vacuum pump status (OFF, ON/No Load, ON/Loaded):

     3.1 With Vacuum Pump “Off”:

    • Inspect seal rings and general condition.

    • Tighten all bolts, clamps, and connections.

    • Clean glass jar vacuum filter.

     3.2 With Vacuum Pump “On” but No Load:

    • Check airflow at pads by feel.

    • Refill automatic oiler using DTE light oil.

      • Let run 3 minutes before capping.

      • Ensure nut is tight.

    • Confirm proper "Vac-Off" air cycle from each pad.

     3.3 With Vacuum Pump “Off”:

    • Full unit washdown.

    • Clean muffler, intake, and exhaust filters.

    • Clean sintered bronze filters with Inhibisol or equal.

    • Lubricate moving parts with DTE Medium.


     3.4 With Pump "On", No Load:

    • Visually inspect unit under power.


     3.5 With Unit Under Load:

    • Check gauges and lights for correct operation:

      • Speed and smoothness of vacuum buildup

      • Peak vacuum steadiness

    • Perform load-lifting test (per instruction tag).

    • Check for noise, vibration, overheating, and leaks.

    • Reserve vacuum check:

      • Vacuum drop should not exceed 3" in 15 minutes.

    • Test "Vac-Off" button:

      • Load should release immediately when pressed.
